The Mekong-ROK Cooperation Fund focuses on advancing a robust infrastructure framework to propel regional and sub-regional connectivity. Aligned with the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025, the initiative prioritizes the construction and enhancement of transportation infrastructure, spanning roads, highways, bridges, railroads, and airports. Special emphasis is placed on formulating master plans for improved local and regional connectivity, connecting rural areas to urban centers.
The plan extends to upgrading maritime and inland waterways transportation, focusing on logistics, ports, and navigation systems in the Mekong region. Additionally, the MKCF aims to fortify energy security, promote sustainable energy use, and enhance conditions for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
Enhance capabilities in regional project management, building roads and pathways towards sustainable development.
Collaborate on critical infrastructure development in rural areas, laying down foundations for agricultural growth and prosperity.
